No builders since wednesday, maybe they decided it was too hot.  One of the builders has gone on holiday for 2 weeks so the progress, if there is any, will probably be slow unless it cools down a lot.

It rained this afternoon - hard.  The new kitchen turned into a paddling pool!  Sarah and I spent about half an hour bailing it into buckets for the sake of it!  It was pretty amusing!  It was noticably shallower by the time we had finished though.  The front room did fill up, and then promptly emptied itself, through the cracks inbetween the block and beam structure.
I was quite worried about the landing as if you stood outside the bathroom door and looked up, you could see the sky.  But the builders plastic bags seem to have done their job!
