Liz & Matt’s Home Extension Blog

Last week we were busy with holiday club, but unfortunately the roofer did not arrive to take a look until Friday, so we effectively lost the whole week as far as the building is concerned.

On Monday it was too wet to do anything.  Yesterday (Tuesday) the weather was better, so they made a start by removing the roof of the dorma window at the back, allowing them the complete the new roof structure.  The exposed part is now covered with plastic to keep out the rain and all now rests on whether the roofer arrives to get started today.  The weather forecast for the rest of the week looks pretty bad, so today may be the only chance we will get for a while.

In hope, we have emptied Emma’s bedroom and moved both her and the stick insects in with Debbie and Sarah.  The heap of boxes in the (soon to be) dining room grows steadily larger.
