Liz & Matt’s Home Extension Blog

It has been a frustrating week with very little happening other than rain.  The weather has prevented any work on the roof other than a bit of timber being added in preparation for the roofer finally being able to start.

The builders managed to spend a day removing the sloping roof from under the landing window which has opened up a lot of space which was inaccessable before.  They have also started to put in the chipboard floor in the back of the extension where it has been felted and have sealed the first floor rear windows with plastic sheeting.  However, we are still open to the elements at the front.

We managed to start our first bit of decorating over the bank holiday weekend.  The wardrobe, which is going to be part of Emma’s room, has had the cracks filled and a first coat of paint on the walls & ceiling.  Em was offered any colour as long as we had a tin in the shed & she chose the remains of the pink we had in the bathroom in our old house.
