The bathroom suite arrived as scheduled on Tuesday but the plumber has not yet been to see it.  It is now occupying the floor space that formerly belonged to the wall tiles, which have now moved into Emma’s bedroom.

When I left this morning, Pete and Bob (yes, we really do have a builder named Bob! And generally speaking, he can fix it.) were busy painting boards in the hope that the roofer might arrive and put the roof on the dorma window at the front.  By the time I arrived home, not only had he done this but the whole thing was boarded and the new bedroom window had been fitted as well.  Since this was the main route into the upstairs, the only way through now is via the (rather small) bathroom window, so the sooner the new bathroom gets done (allowing them to break through the existing bathroom wall into the new part) the better.



Also this week, the electrician has been busy putting in more wiring, light switches and extractor fan ducts.  Almost the whole of the downstairs now has plasterboard on the walls.
