Things kind of ground to a halt after our last entry and nothing much happened for a few days.

This week the builders fitted the old kitchen units into the utility room and the electrician came and connected up the new fuse box ready for the long-awaited visit from EDF on Tuesday to move the electricity meter to it’s new location.  After this the final breakthrough can happen (since the existing meter is attached to a bit of wall that is going to have a doorway in it) so we’ve just spent the afternoon clearing out the ‘study’ (which is on the other side of the same wall).

Also this week the plumber finally came and fitted all of the new radiators, but none of them function yet.  We’re trying not to let the excitement get to us.
